DJ Arafat has passed away after getting involved in an ugly road accident - Social media users have mourned the death of the music star - Nigerian singer Davido also joined others that have lamented the untimely death of the Ivorian superstar Ivorian musician Houon Ange Didier popularly known by the stage name DJ Arafat has passed away after his involvement in an ugly road accident that took place on the night of Sunday, August 11. According to reports making the rounds, the 33-year-old artist who sustained injuries from the accident, died around 8am on Monday, August 12, in a clinic in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire. Reacting to the unfortunate news, hundreds of internet users across the continent took to their respective social media platforms to mourn the untimely death of the celebrated music star. Also reacting the news of DJ Arafat’s death, Nigerian singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, shared two different posts on micro blogging platform Twitter. Davido in his first post had expressed disbelief at the news. See his tweet below: However, a second post from the singer suggested that he had accepted the unfortunate news. He shared a photo in which they were both spotted together and prayed the deceased to rest in peace. DJ Arafat and Davido once collaborated on a music single titled Naughty. He has also worked with singer J Martins on the hit single titled Touching Body. He won the Best Francophone Award at the 2015 MAMAs, and was nominated for Best African Act at the 2015 MTV EMA. May his soul rest in peace. Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously gathered that the singer shared a short clip in which he was laughing about having to fly economy. He was seen laughing at his crew members as they all went on-board and tried to locate their seats on the airplane.
