ViginGist (Owerri, Imo State) Reporting
It was a galore of entertainment as celebrities gathered at the Imo Concorde Hotel Village, last Saturday, to officially welcome the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Entertainment Hon. Charles Awurum to the fun-loving city of Owerri. Organized by Plaatform Entertainment in conjunction with Dayan Entertainment, the night was activity-filled and featured performances by and presence of top entertainment celebrities in the state.
In an apparently well arranged occasion, performer after performer mounted the stage during the course of the night to thrill respected guests. Top of the list include King Saro Wiwa, Queen Ngozi of Bongo, Prince Titus, Scalp and Element from Tightmen Entertainment Lagos, and Nonsonkwa of the Darling FM fame. Together, they made the night quite remarkable.
The gathering witnessed a crop of the who is who in the entertainment world while colleagues of the honourable Special Adviser were not left out. Respected guest to the event were Amb. Lady Nneoma Ukpabi (Chairman of the Imo State Actors Guild of Nigeria) and her entourage including the state Assistant Secretary Chuma Mmeka; Chairmen emeritus of Actors Guild Lambert Nnorom Jnr and Hon. Conac Umez accompanied by Mr. Jackson a movie equipment guru, Sir Mike Echetama, nollywood Senator Tony Chukwu, Chinonso Uba and Mrs. Ngozi Douglas a prominent movie producer, actress and marketer.
Also present were SA Charles Awurum's colleagues in government including the honourable Commissioner of Transport and the SA on Projects; Hon. Emeka Okpokoro (SA on Waste Management), Hon. Ben (SA on Inter-Party Affairs), Engr. Rex Okoro (SA on Youth), and the Head of Protocol to the Chief of Staff, Hon. Stone.
Other guests included USA based Dr. Felix Nnaji, C.E.O. Of Quingist.com Miss Adaku Eunice Duru, Miss Imo 2019 Queen Jennifer Onyeagu, the SA to the SSA on Sports Mr. Ayk MacNelson Okoroafor, Henry Uzoukwu of Rushwork Entertainment, Mr. Raphael (C.E.O. of California Lounge and Wipe Out Naiija Reality Show) the C.E.O. Of Tightmen Entertainment Ltd., the C.E.O. of Henry B Entertainment organizers of OCARS and Director David of David Movies.
Speaking to newsmen at the event, Hon. Charles Awurum expressed his excitement and happiness at the event which was well organized. He admitted that the event went well, almost beyond his expectations. He was full of thanks for the organizers who put the activity together. Receiving guests who came to identify with him, the SA promised to do all in his power to put entertainment in Imo State on the nation's top charts.
Indeed, the night would be one to remain in the memories of Imolites for a very long time
